First, I'm glad you were encouraged by the post about the Chinese waiter. It was such a joy to see "same day service"--reading the Scripture and then seeing it "tested" in the field! When our steps are directed to others to share the Great news of salvation, I see it as though we are simply dispatched to deliver to that person an invitation to receive the LORD's love and forgiveness!

Thank you for your personal encouragement, the loving words. May the King of the whole earth be glorified continually!

Re: your neighbor: Perhaps your neighbor's stubbornness was birthed in hurt and disappointment. Stubbornness feels like a protective wall we build around ourselves. Unfortunately, it turns into a prison, with us inside! The Scripture teaches that stubbornness is as idolatry (1 Samuel). Our thoughts and wishes which we stubbornly cling to are tantamount to idols in our lives.
Your neighbor is deceived. No amount of reasoning can turn a deceived heart to the Truth. The watchword is prayer. Warfare prayer. I read this article, "Why Demons Tremble" (reprint by Ralph Mahoney). He declares, "Often, I think we plead with God needlessly to save the souls of our lost loved ones. After all, God has entrusted to us the ministry of reconciliation and the word of reconciliation (2 Cor. 5:18-19). God wants us...to reconcile men to Him. I don't mean that we operate independently of God, but ...we learn to make proper use of the weapons of our warfare. I had some friends who had been praying for eight years on behalf of an unsaved loved one. They were skeptical about this idea, but together, we tried it. Instead of praying that God would convert her, we said in faith, "In the name of Yeshua, we take authority over every high thing in that mind which exalts itself against the knowledge of God. We bring it down. We bring her mind into captivity to obey Christ (Messiah). We do this on the authority of God's word." Within three weeks the woman for whom we thus fought the fight of faith, found her way back to God and was gloriously delivered..."

He goes on, "Jude tell us to "convince some, who doubt; save some, by snatching them out of the fire; on some have mercy with fear, hating even the garment spotted by the flesh." It is our job to do the snatching. Messiah has shed His blood and He intercedes on our behalf incessantly. Our part is to pick up our weapons and go out against the powers of darkness and drive them off the land. Messiah bought us with His own blood--we belong to Him. And so, by the same token, do all men. John said that Yeshua "is the expiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. (1 John 2:2). No person is exempt form Messiah's work of salvation. What remains is for us to work with God--to fight the good fight that loosens Satan's hold on lost men and women and compels them to come into the banquet hall."

May the Living God, who loves your neighbor, deliver her into the Kingdom and a place where she, one day, will "stubbornly" proclaim the Great News of salvation!

Dynamite! I was waiting to see if he was the man I met in the subway when I stayed with you.... Wouldn't have surprised me!

God has gifted you, sister, with a brilliant mind, a passionate heart, and the ability by His grace to bring people to the point of decision! I stand in awe of HIs greatness and love in using you (or any of us) in the harvest fields of the Lord.

Pray for my stubborn neighbor to come to that place please. Her daughter and I have been praying for her for years, and she's like a sleepy kid who refuses to close his eyes and surrender to sleep, much as he knows he needs it ~ cranky, prickly, and running scared.
